Tolani Institute of Pharmacy is the only state government grant in aid institute in the Border Districts of Kachchh and Banaskantha offering the two years diploma pharmacy course. The institute is instrumental in providing the pharmacy education to the students coming from the border area villages and thereby contributes to the technical development of these sectors.
Tolani Institute of Pharmacy was established in 1984 as a department of Polytechnic with its administrative division in Tolani F G Polytechnic and academic section in a sister institute namely Tolani college of arts and science and affiliated to Gujarat University. In the year 1992 the institute started functioning independently in an area of 1.1 acre under the able guideship of then Principal Dr. H. N. Kakrani. The institute faced the devastating earthquake in January 2001 and shifted in a well constructed and maintained building in October 2002 with financial assistance of one crore from Times foundation, New Delhi.
The college is located about 500m away from S.T. stand and about 500m away from railway station. The institute is functioning under able leadership of Principal, Dr. Bharat G. Chaudhari along with teaching staff of 1 selection grade lecturer and 2 lecturers. The college offers modern teaching learning process, well equipped laboratories, machine room, medicinal plant garden, computer lab, audio-visual lectures, R O water drinking facility etc. The college is also having facilities of boys and girls hostel within the campus.
